Heartbroken by the lack of a cure for Alzheimer’s disease, more than 50 club members at Great Neck South High spread the word through classrooms, clubs and after-school activities, and organized the school’s first annual teacher talent show.
More than 20 acts took the stage, from LED dancing and trombone solos to singing duets and original poetry. More than 500 students came, and the show raised over $6,000 ($5,600 after tax) for the Alzheimer’s Association.
