CHEN mentored high school and college students in the Youth Climate Advocacy Committee (YCAC) at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens as they developed their own environmental projects.
Our conversations focused on the practical side of turning an idea into action: raising funds, contacting legislators, and approaching local businesses. Students’ projects ranged from water conservation and pollinators to sustainable fashion, composting and an environmental policy game.
